Radio and TV contributor Ed Hughes lists the Malt Shovel, beside the Grand Union Canal, among his favourite hostelries.
Eat Drink Meet, a website and app that helps users discover nearby pubs, bars, and restaurants, has partnered with Molson Coors on the project.
Mr Hughes writes that the Malt Shovel is just three miles from Denham Country Park and is a welcome respite spot for friends and family.
The park – which sits on the banks of the Colne, Misbourne and Frays – offers several short circular trails that take about two hours to complete.
He adds: “On the weekend menu, you can find a collection of pub classics, including a fillet of salmon, a puy lentil cottage pie and chicken parmigiana.”
