£100m plans to build 333 homes on derelict Uxbridge site

Plans have been submitted to redevelop a long-vacant site in Uxbridge, with proposals to build 333 new homes.

The application seeks full planning permission to demolish existing buildings on land at Grays Road and Hillingdon Road, and replace them with new housing, along with access, parking, landscaping and associated works.

The site has been empty for decades and was previously used for residential housing. Planning documents state it includes a number of former homes that have fallen into poor condition after being left vacant for many years.

If approved, the redevelopment would see a significant increase in housing on the 3.2-hectare site, with the number of homes rising to 333. The tallest buildings proposed would reach up to six storeys in height.

The estimated cost of the development is over £100 million, and documents indicate construction could begin in 2027, with the project completed in phases by 2030.

Residents nearby have been notified, with consultation running until 11 April. A decision on the application is expected by 7 May.
